D.A.N.C.E FM 106.7

Erupt Festival, Taupō

16-19 May 2012

As part of the Taupō Erupt Festival 2012, D.A.N.C.E. Art Club created a mobile community radio station and public address unit, meeting and broadcasting with eight communities throughout the region during the Festival. The mobile radio station D.A.N.C.E FM 106.7 operated from a converted panel truck, equipped with media and broadcast devices, reporting on events at the festival and wider community activity.

This project was part of Letting Space's Community Service series which works across festival platforms to create artwork that is principally about people rather than things, to enable social change. It is joined at the Erupt Festival at the same time by another Community Service series work Tim Barlow's The Public Fountain.
